Explore the realm of Georgia O'Keeffe on Day One of a
two-day workshop that will take you to the landscape that inspired her
paintings. On Day One we will travel to the Abiquiu area, where we will
gather a variety of earth minerals that we will use to make paint. Learn
what to look for and where to gather minerals while on a short walk up a
colorful canyon full of earthy reds, yellows, and greens, the colors of
the land seen in so many of O'Keeffe's paintings. Discovering the
potential for bringing the landscape into a painting allows one to
capture the colorful essence of the place.
