Monday

AASHA Meeting (Tony) (See Report). (Margee) American History Museum, and Renwick Art Gallery (Grant Wood Exhibit), Cocktail Party OmniShore Hotel.

 

Tuesday

(Margee) National Galley of Women’s Art Museum-(Mayan Art Exhibit), Chinatown,

We met at the Ford Theater, Hard Rock Café for lunch, Supreme Court, Congressman Tom Cole’s Office

 

Wednesday

National Gallery of Art- West Gallery(Cezanne at Province Exhibit) – East Gallery(DADA Exhibit) We met at George Washington University, Attended the “Media Matters” Why Media Matters panel discussion featuring Al Frankin and Helen Thomas, Union Station

 

Thursday

White House Tour, President’s helicopter took off as we were visiting the “green room”. Changed hotels to Comfort Inn, M Street and 13th. Tom Coburn office provided a private tour of the Capital, Senate Galley (saw Ted Kennedy), as we toured we saw  ? Allen presidential hopeful. A path was cleared for Condolleeza Rice to pass through, Kennedy Center- Italian Opera “ The Elixir of Love.”

 

Friday

National Archives-Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Washington Monument top view of city, WWII Fountain, Reflecting Pool, Lincoln Monument, Odyssey Dinner Cruise on the Potomac, dancing and “Flash Back” band for entertainment.

 

Saturday

Cherry blossom Festival Parade (Rainy day had to skip bicycle and Segway rides), Georgetown – “Blues Alley” Jack Jones performed, took a photo and spoke with him, dinner and cocktails.
